Bean vs EJB

Asked By: Lewis    Date: Sep 29    Category: Java    Views: 965

There are two completely distinct concepts that are available in Java both
having the name bean in them. There is a Java Bean and an Enterprise Java Bean.
The two are completely different and are very well documented here:
http://java.sun.com so I will purposely omit defining the two.

Is this in response to the earlier discussion about authoring JavaBeans
or are you just interested in sharing this information with us for no
specific reason?

Yes. I just didn't want to quote two separate threads. :-) From the context of
the questions it seemed as if people were really asking about the EJB all while
saying they want information on Beans. So just wanted to toss that out.
