Well, this has all unfolded over the past 8 or 9 months now, but I started
off with a 64bit version of Edgy. I upgraded that to a 64bit version of
Feisty and all hell broke loose. Then I asked around in here what to do and
was suggested to try the 32bit version. Well, being I did not want to lose
all of my data I installed the 32bit version of Feisty on another hard
drive. Then I tinkered around with Ubuntu Studio which changed my desktop
appearance a little bit (to something cooler, IMO). Anyways, I upgraded
Feisty to Gutsy (removing all repositories as suggested by Gobby), and that
is where I am now. I might add that when I upgraded my default background
became this orange/brown-colored inverted Nike swoosh type photo (which I
assume is standard Gutsy). After reinstating my repositories (and upgrading
them from Feisty to Gutsy in the text and link portions) all but 1 of them
worked (and I forget which one that is at the moment). Anywhoo, on all
setups that I attempted to use Jack (which was just about all of them) I had
no luck with it.
