I am running Ubuntu 10.4, in a HP Compaq and recently took Milenicom
Mobile wirless and the 760 dongle worked after I figured to plug it in
before booting, no extra drivers or anything needed, it just worked. At
first, for about a week, the connection would drop and would have to
click on the icon at top to restart the connection and sometimes would
have to right click, disable mobile broadband and then left click to
restart, but for the last couple of weeks it has been almost flawless,
btw, the service here is thru verizon towers. Milenciom (google it )
does not have contracts and your choice of a free dongle w/ 5 gig or $99
for the dongle and get 10 gigs. There is or was an unlimited for the
same price $59 p/mo. for all three plans, I believe the unlimited will
be back shortly.?
