JSR 244, the umbrella spec that defines what other
specs and capabilities will be included as part of
Java EE 5 (formerly J2EE 1.5), has had it's public
review spec approved by the JCP EC. The theme of the
release is ease of development, focused on redefining
the platform in light of annotations and pojo-driven
development, with major additions including the Java
Persistence API 1.0 (EJB 3 entities), JSF, JSTL, and more.
