video content is intermittent

I'm running the latest Ubuntu 64bit version in 3GB of ram. Yet the display of
video content is intermittent sometimes (like now) and I cannot get youtube.com
video for example! Why?

Search for "restricted" in Synaptic and you will find them. You may
also find www.medibuntu.com helpful.

Youtube requires flash. A lot of videos also require the installation of
other codecs. For instance ubuntu-restricted-extras or kubuntu or xubuntu,
depending on your flavour.
