vCard and iCalendar

This is my first post here, and I must admit, most of the discussion is way
over my little newbie head. Still, I'm determined to make this, so I guess
I just have to plug away at it.

Anyway, to my first question:
I'm looking for a package that can assist me in creating properly formed
vCard and iCalendar text-streams, either for output as a file or directly
to a HTTP-client. Does anyone know if this can be found within the standard
framework or do I need an external package? Intended usage is to facilitate
easy "add contact" and "add meeting" links from the corporate http-based
intranet to personal planners (Outlook and Notes mainly, but even other
clients with vCard/iCalendar support.)

Also - how do I search the contents of the packages? Expanding each branch
is not practical, and it's so easy to overlook something.
I use Eclipse Plattform 2.1.0 and J2 1.4.1.
