I run Conky, which shows how much memory is being used at any moment. Even doing
video editing in Cinelerra, my memory usage doesn't go above 2 GB. Having half a
dozen tabs open in Firefox, along with some other small programs running, gets
the memory usage over 1 GB.

Ill be sure to keep that in mind. I have 4gb on my system.
