In my opinion there is just one aspect and that would be the power of Oracle,
and be sure that there would be no change in policy of the Sun company, regarding the java  or other Sun technologies and products.
Whereas when the Oracle bought the Bea there was no change at all and even I personally was able the last release of the Bea technologies after that.
Actually the two point that worth to think is that:

1- How Oracle is powerful that in this bad economic situation buys Sun.
2- The future of the Oracle java tools such as Jdeveloper is so brilliant.
