I've heard good things about "gnucash". However, I do not think it handles
payroll, which I wanted.

Yes it does, at least the windows version does. However it isn't as easy to
use as Quickbooks.

Glad they have a version of GnuCash for Windows. I'm in the process of
setting it up right now so I can invoice my customers. Gotta figure it out
though. Was hoping to do something quick and easy, not so much. HAHAHA! I am
a man and don't want to read instructions.

Gnucash. Found in most repositories. Will import/export QIF and other
files.
