Running 8.04, I had Pidgin working. I'm only trying to connect to
Yahoo. Now it fails to connect. I installed Ayttm thinking that might
work but it fails to connect.
Opening Pidgin with Terminal I get:
libnm_glib_nm_state_cb: dbus returned an error.
(org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown) The name
org.freedesktop.NetworkManager was not provided by any .service files
Opening Ayttm returns this:
-desktop:~$ ayttm
proxy_connect_host: Connection timed out
proxy_connect_host: Connection timed out
proxy_connect_host: Connection timed out
proxy_connect_host: Connection timed out
proxy_connect_host: Connection timed out
proxy_connect_host: Connection timed out
proxy_connect_host: Connection timed out
proxy_connect_host: Connection timed out
proxy_connect_host: Connection timed out
I am connected to the net with dial up, but connection speed seems normal.
Help appreciated.
