i am using a port monitor for the serial port on my windows
machine.

If i use hyper terminal, no problem, i can talk to my modem and it
talks back, say if i type "AT" it will reply with "OK".
If i used the package from sun, the JavaCOMM one i don't get a
response, it will write out to the port but no reply.

Has anyone got any examples or can help me at all please.
