Openjump problem

Date: Dec 12    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 291

I installed openjump so I could use a GIS data base at home. The file
I need to use is to large and I get the error that Java setting are to
small.

How can I change the default Memory settings to allow a larger file? I
assume the setting is in the Java files but may be in the swap file
setting for Ubuntu.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

OK the problem window that comes up is a Java memory allocation
problem. The problem is moot on smaller files and the program works
fine. The file was produced using a windows only program and there is
not a linux port.

Does anyone know how to change the memory allocation for Java? Forget
the open jump for now and we can see what might be done to increase
the memory for Java.
