Too much memory?

Date: Dec 13    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 272

Originally when I installed Christian edition Ubuntu would freeze up while
installing, or if it was already on the hard drive while loading up if I had
more then 320 megs of memory in the computer (The computer has accepted up
to 750 megs that I know about). I was playing with a newer live CD and I got
it to accept 512 megs. Then when I went back to the old o/s on the hard
drive it would also accept 512. Neither version, however will accept 750
megs without locking up. Any ideas, since I need all the memory I can get
because I am using a slow processor.
