anyone know anything good/bad about system 76?

I don't because I'm in the UK, but I had a look and could see little
wrong with the set up and offers. The base price seemed OK, but there
are lots of costs if you want to chose the higher options for your
system. They appear much like Dell to me.

Dell offers Ubuntu installed I believe.

Well here I have had very good experiences with Dell for sales on line
and after sales support so I do not know if its different in the USA.

one thing i have to find out. will they install 32 bit. on site, it seems only
64 is offered. i think that will b a problem 4 flash, etc

I am running the MB and processor but use 32 bit software, it makes no
difference with XP pro so it should not with Ubuntu.

I read Linux Journal; one person wrote in after they'd printed their "Ultimate
Linux Laptop" awards; System 76 was mentioned, they were disappointed with
documentation. Someone wrote in a later issue that they didn't understand the
lack of documentation complaint - he'd gotten all kinds of documentation and
restore CDs as well. So from that, I'd say System 76 would be a VERY good
choice.
