Probably GWBasic would run in Dosbox under Linux. Qbasic does. The easiest way
is to put the Qbasic programs (.bas files) into a folder and a copy of Qbasic in
the same folder. Then it is easy to start Qbasic with Dosbox and then open and
run the .bas files. Probably GWBasic would act similarly.

OK, one more dumb question. How do I go to DOS from Ubuntu?
And thanks for the lead.

You don't linux is not a Microsoft system.
You can however install dosbox dosemu both of which which emulate dos within
linux.

For Ubuntu Dosbox works. It can be installed with sudo aptitude install dosbox
typed in the terminal.
For KDE (e. g Mandriva and probably Kubuntu, I am not sure), Dosemu would work.
I tried Dosemu in Ubuntu and it did not work. But Dosbox works OK fir most of
the programs.
I also used Freedos, an open source and improved MS-DOS clone.

Why not install and fire up Virtualbox and install dos there. Virtualbox
is a go Virtual machine.

On a side note would you all PLEASE goto your settings on Yahoo's site
and change your delivery to traditional. That new Fully Featured option
makes it 3 times harder to reply to posts because it does not what to
trim the email like a normal email.
