Asked By: Cody    Date: Nov 07    Category: MS Office    Views: 995

Supose my archive "01.xls" is opened.
I want to run a VBA macro and grab the value of the cell A1 from the
archive '02.xls' and put it in the cell B1 of the archive '01.xls'.

Can anyone show me a few codes ?

From a different peanut gallery. Can you grab  the value of the cell  if its
open and active on a different computer?

To answer the question above, open both sheets, select the active cell, to
want the value to go to, type "=" then browse to the other workbook  and
select the cell with the value you want to pull over. When you close 02.xls
the shortcut will still linking to the value in 02

Yes. When you open the file, it'll tell you that it's already in use. Just
select the read-only option and it'll open enough to grab  information out of
it.
