Creating a new grub

Date: Feb 12    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 349

I just had to reload the windows portion of my dual boot
system. I would like to be able to bring up a live CD
version of Xubuntu 12.04 and execute a program to
create a new grub in the boot loader without reloading
the Xubuntu OS, can I do that?

I will book mark this as I seem to need to reload my windows partition
quite often for various reasons.

Long before this I was faced with a booting problem and discovered
boot-repair-disk. It's free and fixes every situation I've ever encountered
perfectly. It claims to do it in one click but worst case situation is that
it takes multiple clicks through reasonably clear menus.

Just search for boot repair disk.

It has saved my bacon many times, and very quickly too.
