I tried to install a special software (scisoft)on Ubuntu
Once I tried to install it on Debian. There I like the command "yum check" to
get unsolved dependencies especially for Scisoft, because there´s a great
number.
I like to find an equivalance for Ubuntu but I cann´t.

I believe the syntax is "apt-cache depends "

"man apt-cache" for more information. There are a couple of useful flags.

There is also a installable called apt-rdepends, or similar to that.

I noticed on the US mirror that RPMs are listed, try that approach
