acer 5670, wont hold settings on re-boot? goes to dim side, must hit f key tobrighten again.
Check the BIOS power settings, it may be set to 'dim' in there andUbuntu is picking it up from there. Also is it the same when onbattery and mains power since this is a laptop ?
