Question Answered By: Adah Miller   on Dec 06

yeah i still consider myself a noob but i dont think im nearly as bad as i used
to be. like yesterday i temp installed (very temporary lol it only lasted a
matter of hours) mandrake 10.0 i thought eh my linux knowlage has grown since
then so ill give it a fair shot. now i know why it is no longer supported. not
only does mandrake speak another language (try running apt-get anything) but the
killer in the back was, it only has the included CDs as its repositories. lol
how limited is that?
while other distros are still wlcome to chalange, i wont be goign after them
quite as much as ive pretty much set my ground with the current distro. i
wouldnt mind one day trying out fedora core 5 maybe on another machine and i
know it too speaks another language rpm -i package name.
