I do use Ubuntu as a desktop. Every computer I own is set up with Ubuntu as
a desktop, and only one is set up to dual boot Vista and that's really only
to run office programs for work and a few games for the kids. All of the
networks at my jobs are windows only networks, and it's a real pain in the
neck emailing files back and forth or having multiple copies of documents
hanging around on usb sticks, windows boxes at work, and my file server.
This way I can just mount my remote directory and work from a windows system
if need be. I just thought someone else might find it useful.
