Would anyone mind commenting on use of open office format documents?
Is it possible to view/create/edit? What I have found from my google
searching leaves me a bit confused as to what the native ability is
here and how functional some of the market options actually are.
Regarding Galaxy Devices and a few other comments for the OP: Then
newer Galaxy SII is supposedly better with battery life. I'm not sure
what other issues might have scared you away from Samsung. I have
read that Banshee works well syncing music/playlists/podcasts. You
can also install a local ssh client and interact with the built-in adb
shell on your android phone. This is all from what I have read, as I
will not own an android phone until later this month.
Also, for things phone related I have found xda-developers to be as
useful a resource as is this list and ubuntu-forums are for linux.
You can search google for specific questions/resolutions there by
appending 'site:forum.xda-developers.com' to your google search
(without the quotes). fwiw, dual-core processor phones seem to be the
wave of the near future for right now.
