If you check "someone else's macro", you'll probably find a method called
MoveAfterReturn or MoveAfterReturnDirection where your settings were
changed.

Pascal's instructions for:
Tools|Options, Edit tab, 'Move Selection after Enter' & 'Direction'
are how you can change it back without the macro.

If the macro  is going to continue to be used, I'd suggest storing current
settings
at the beginning, then restore them at the end.
